Naturopathic I.V. Therapies

INTRAVENOUS (I.V.) THERAPIES

CHELATION

Naturopathic medicine uses a variety of  IV treatments, among these  is EDTA (ethylene diamine tretraacetic acid) chelation. Dr Sherry is trained and licensed by the College of Naturopathic Physicians of B.C. (CNPBC) to administer IV Chelation in her clinic.

Three hour EDTA chelation is the standard accepted by the CNPBC.  Many people believe this treatment  is only used in the treatment of coronary artery disease and atherosclerosis; however, EDTA chelation can be used as part of the treatment for many degenerative disease processes.  This is because EDTA is beneficial for conditions where there may be toxic overloads of heavy metals or an excess of  calcium in the body.  This list includes cerebral artery disease, peripheral vascular disease, diabetes, peripheral neuropathy, osteoporosis,  osteoarthritis, lupus and MS, to name only a few.

DMPS is a form of IV Chelation that is specific for mercury toxicity, that may have occurred from mercury dental amalgams or other sources.
